Tottenham rapper Avelino has released his debut album God Save The Streets, which features heavy-hitting lyrics and an inspirational message.
The album is a career-defining project and is executive produced by his mentor Wretch 32, who also appears on a track and an interlude, as well as overseen by Fraser T Smith. AV aims to convey the message that life on the streets is far from easy and that the violence which haunts his community cannot be solved with soundbite statements. The album artwork is inspired by punk imagery and he’s painted in the centre of the Union Jack flag. The album features guest appearances from the likes of Ghetts, Backroad Gee and more.
