While Young Thug has been prolific as ever over the course of the year, his long promised collaborative project with Metro Boomin is nowhere in sight. The incredibly-titled Metro Thuggin was introduced with lead single, “The Blanguage,” which is still among Thugger’s very best songs, and while we later heard another record from the duo called “Warrior,” talk of the project has pretty much halted after Barter 6.Whether or not it’s a sign of things to come, “Be Me See Me” should get the conversation going again. Metro laces Thug with a driving pulse of a bassline, which cuts out every few bars, only to come back harder. While there are some repeated phrases, it’s hard to say there’s a conventional hook here, but we all know Thug does best with no song structure restrictions.
