While Miley Cyrus is currently seated as one of the judges mentoring aspiring musicians on this season of The Voice, she may have also had a hand in grooming her littler sister as a singer. Noah Cyrus recently inked a record deal with RECORDS LLC, and released her debut single “Make Me (Cry) on Monday night (Nov. 14), tapping UK singer/producer Labrinth for a guest appearance on the ballad.
Cyrus’ new single is the first official taste of her venture into music and is a step away from the typical bubbly pop song most singers launch their careers with. Cyrus’ raspy vocals connect with Labrinth’s soulful croons as they sing about a love that’s toxic, but one that neither can walk away from. “Gave you up ’bout 21 times/ Felt those lips tell me 21 lies,” the two singers belt over the haunting ballad. “You’ll be the death of me, sage advice/ Loving you could make Jesus cry.”
