Wale released “Groundhog Day (Poem).”
Wale knows what time it is. You can say a lot of things about the D.C. rapper but he always drops something to blow your mind. On Wednesday, the “Running Back” spitter released “Groundhog Day (Poem).”
This track is the latter part of the extended version of “Groundhog Day.” Wale goes in hard on everything that has rubbed him the wrong way recently. Like a man who’s held his tongue for too long, the emcee aims to wrench the crown off these other rap dudes’ heads. He declares lyrical war on his detractors and all those who want to put him and his people out.
This isn’t a song as much as it’s an ode to action and determination in the face of adversity and slander. Listen to “Groundhog Day (Poem)” right here.
