Skylar Grey - She Still Matters

Challenging the traditional concept of an album, Skylar Grey describes her third studio album under her stage name, and fourth overall, as a concept project or open-ended album, as she plans to keep adding songs of its genre to it over time.

She explains that there two main concepts behind this project. One being the sound inspired by her roots and influences, including Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell and Carole King; while the other is its theme, which is mainly inspired by her relationship with her fiancé Elliott Taylor, with whom she has co-written many of the tracks on the project.
