It'd be fine if all Shamir Bailey had going for him was the virtuosity of his voice—his countertenor is capable of subdued softness and piercing force in equal measure.
But it's the place that voice is coming from, and the people it's built to connect with,
that brings Ratchet to light as something more than just a hell of a performance.
